Talking Did a little fishin on my lunch break yesterday

yup, went fishin during my lunch break, but i wasn't looking to catch fish.

the night before we went to the town docks in meredith for dinner. the place was packed so we ended up having to park a ways off down by the docks. after dinner, walking back to the car, our oldest daughter decided to scare our 5 year old daughter by picking her up and pretending to throw her off the dock and into the water. funny because she scared her pretty good, but bad because she also lost her flip flop in the drink... sank right to the bottom. and of course they're her favorite ones, they light up when she walks and they're floral with her favorite colors. with no way to get it back (other than diving down to get it) we went home. she was bawling the whole ride.. i felt so bad for her.. she was really upset about it.

so yesterday on my lunch break i headed back to the docks armed with a special fishin pole and look what i caught! took about 10 minutes but i got it. it's deep there by the docks too.. gotta be 9 or 10 feet. people probably thought i was nuts...

i surprised her with it when i got home from work and boy was she thrilled! she's wearing them today of course.

Nice catch. Better than a big lake trout. More satisfying too.
