Now I know why I was not mentioned in the forum gathering picture posts.

I thought she looked familiar.

I paid her to double as GWC…, well, actually I gave her one of my vehicles. It's a single seater.

You must have paid her more to double as you.

Now I understand.

Who says money is not important?

GWC - It wasn't money at all. That poor girl took one look at that vehicle and decided you must be an Outlaw!

Let the truth be told, with winter just around the corner, there was something more than money she wanted -- a new snow plow. Check this beauty out, got it from a guy on Durrel Mountain Road in Belmont -- sweeeeet !

Default Crap...

Now everyone knows my little Jack's identity! I'll have to dye her hair black, give her a fake peg leg, and change her name. Think she'll respond to "Capt'n Jack?" She is in charge after all.

Default What a Treat

Am so sorry I missed the party. Unfortunately living in Long Island, New York doesn't allow me the luxury of getting to NH very often - once a year. Darn. Thanks so much for the article, it was great to see pictures of other Forum writers. Outlaw you really thru me a curve ball.

Smile Happy To Spread Fun News

I was like a little kid at Christmas last night when Rattlesnake Guy brought them home for me. Unfortunately I was short on time, but it worked out just fine. He was such a sweetie, after landing in Manchester, he headed up to the Visitors Center in Hookset. (The Liquor Store rest area.) They didn’t have any, so he drove all the way to Concord. I’m the luckiest gal in the world. Poor guy, it's been a rough couple weeks. Hopefully he can come to the lake with us for a little R & R.
You were here in spirit Lady Di.
Thanks SIKSUKR, I’m glad you appreciate my contributions. It means a lot and it has been fun. Occasionally I worry that I am annoying people, it seems I can’t control my posting urges. If it gets out of hand someone will have to start Over Posters Anonymous.
I feel like all the members of the forum are friends. I think the new forum style has greatly contributed to this. It’s very special and I enjoy being here very much. Winnipesauke.com is a nice place to be. A great community.

Just reinforces my disappointment in missing the gathering, and my hope that another opportunity comes along soon.

So much for spending time on Outlaw's guess the identity contest. I now have a major cheat sheet!

Default Great Time!!!

Hey RG Thanks for the great post! I am sorry I missed it, I am new to the forum but love it! If there is another planned let me know. Like Grandma I am on Long Island, but live near the Port Jeff Ferry, so the ride up is not that long - love to meet and discuss the fun time on "the lake" as my family calls it!

There's discussion in the air about something in the winter months when the snow is on the ground. As things formulate and progress with planning we'll post something. Stay tuned

Arrow ForumFest Press Report and Place the Face

Nice article about the forumfest. Thank you RG for scanning and posting it for us. I could not find it on the Weirs Times web site Weirs Times On-Line. Did I miss it there?

It sure helps me with the place the face game, like Merrymeeting said, it's almost like a cheat sheet for a few faces. Part 3 of the article does not list any names to go with the picture on that page though. Do we get a list of name choices to match with the faces? Do we post our guesses or e-mail them to someone or what? Number 13 might be hard to guess, or not. We'll see. Is there a time limit and when can we expect to see the official answers?

Many more people attended but, for whatever reason, were not in the group picture. Can you all post more pictures and include more of the different people? They can't all want to hide their identities.

I'm sorry I could not make it but I was there in spirit. With so many Mass people on the forum maybe there could be a winter gathering in MA.

Question Weirs Times

For some reason The Weirs Times doesn't put the whole newspaper on their site. They should! It is a great publication, but you have to be in the right region to pick it up. The other alternative is to subscribe. Wouldn't it be cheaper if all of us read it online? The advertisers still get their bang for their buck. Maybe even more readers would come aboard. Guess I'll have to check into it. There must be a good explanation.

Thumbs up Thanks to all

Thanks RG,

I'm hoping that mom sees the article and brings a copy south when she migrates for the winter.

Thanks again to all who worked to bring the gathering together, to those who donated prizes to the camera raffle and those who came to the gathering.

I'm looking forward to the next.

See, I'm in another ToW....

Think I got it -- is the Laconia Fire Boat Docked by you yet? If that makes no sence -- we both bought new trucks this year, yours black mine white. If I'm right, you were one of the 2 people I initially thought of.

It was really the first post, "someone I see at least once a week". Aside from 'K' and my cat, you're the only person I could think of that I see at least once a week.

Definitley try to make it if you can to the next forum gathering - you'll be glad you did.

True, but as soon as she gets here she starts to talk about going back north to the lake. She's a woman, can't make up her mind

Better put my flame suite on

She truly loves the lake area but the winter is hard on her as she is alone. So she comes south for the worst months and then back up as soon as the snow/ice is gone.

Smile THANKS!!- I'll be there next year!

Thanks to all who contributed to the Frumfest reports and to Rattlesnake Gal. Only the hurricanes in Florida kept us away this year. Let's start right now to plan next year's event! I want to and, God willing, will be there. Thanks again- for bringing the warmth and pictures home!-- Gil & Mary Anne

Post Forum Fest

I joined the forum after I read the article in the Weirs Time. I enjoy the articles and I'm surprised how much info I have missed in the past decade. I grew up on the lake but job and marriage sent me packing elsewhere. I bought a boat a few years ago and stayed close to my roots. It is great to be a member of this forum. it keeps me posted on to what's happening. I am looking forward to meeting all of you at the next Forumfest.

Why did this thread get sticky?

Sticky: Hot Off The Press

What does that mean? I've seen it before, but call me clueless.

It's just Webmaster meddling. Sticking a thread or message keeps it at the top of the list. When I noticed this thread dropping way down I decided it deserved a little more exposure.

Skip,

You expected someone named OUTLAW to pose with a law enforcement person?

Sorry I missed the fest. Bring on more pictures. I'm trying to match the names with the faces. I've got a few thanks to the Weirs Times.

Default Alton Bay Winterfest?

A few people have tossed around the idea of meeting up at the Winterfest. Usually the Sunday of the long President's Day week-end. There is an airplane fly-in, snowmobile radar run and the famous bed race which perhaps we could participate in.(?)
