Off shore races

Are the off shore races still taking place on the Lake? Does anyone know the schedule? GO SOX!!!!

If you mean motorboat racing, then no, they lost their sponsor, Compaq Computer, about eight years ago.

If you mean sailboat racing, then yes, it's Wednesdays and Sundays, tacking out from Smith Cove in Gilford. www.lwsa.org

The J-80 sailboat group are out racing every Thursday eveing, usually West or South of Welch Island. Fun to watcn.
