Default 9-11 Remembered

If a picture is worth a 1000 words, then this one is priceless. Remembering those of 9-11 and our military folks overseas.

Thumbs up 911 Will Never Be Forgotten

Many of us were directly and indirectly touched by the 911 attack. My best friends are in NY for the 3rd year rememberance as they lost a brother on flight 11.

I have a decal on my boat side window to that says We Will Never Forget 911.

Thanks Outlaw for the photo.

Default Winni Kid Lost on 9/11

I grew up with a kid who spent summers on Bear Is. Meredith who was lost in one of the towers. Never saw him anywhere but the lake (grew up in Phoenix and down South when not @ Bear), so all my memories of him come from being on the boat, hanging out on the boardwalk in the Weirs, etc. Miss him a lot. Now my dad serves in the Reserves over in Iraq, so I really remember 9/11...

Default After three years, an apology:

"...We are so sorry for not rising up against the dictators who have ruled the Muslim world for decades. We are so sorry for allowing corruption to spread so fast and so deep in the Muslim world that many of our youth lost hope. We are so sorry for allowing our religious leaders to relegate women to the status of forth class citizens at best and sub-humans at worse..."

Thanks for passing along the photo! We too knew people directly and indirectly affected by the attacks. One of the pilots, a family that my neice babysat for and a brotherhood of firefighters. And our family cannot forget a 19 year old nephew that died in Marine training just weeks before his unit would be sent to Iraq. May we never forget!

Default Look closely ...

Did you notice that the 9-11 in the picture are the rifles and helmets of our soldiers?

Absolutely!
I think the footage from that awful time should be played each and every day to remind everyone why our troops are over in Iraq and how much they need our support. I hope because of that fateful day, we are stronger and take threats to our great nation seriously.
Thanks for the photo Outlaw. Lest we forget.

Default Oops!

Oops, you seem to have confused the Iraq war with the War on Terror, which took place in afganistan. No credible link between 9/11 and Sadam has ever been established, so this war really has nothing to do with 9/11.

Well, the 9/11 commission, who looked at all of the evidence, holds the same "opinion" that I do. Some things are just facts. Either Sadam was linked to 9/11, or he wasn't. He wasn't.
