Default Photos of the Mount

Has anyone seen a good photo of The Mount at night? Got a friend who might appreciate a great pic for Christmas.

Arrow The Mount at Night

Getting a shot of the Mount at night is very difficult, unless it is docked at the pier. They come out very grainy or blurry.

How about a nice sunset?

The M/S Mount Washington pictures in our gallery

I have many more Mount pictures to post if you're interested in something other than a night shot, but it may take me a bit to get to them.

About three years ago, the string of overhead lightbulbs shown in the picture above were replaced with some less attractive lighting. The old lighting had individual bulbs which needed to replaced individually when one burnt out, and the new bulbs are less attractive and less maintenance, or something like that.

Most likely, the fall season on The Mount is its' most busy time for daytrip passenger ticket sales thanks to leaf peeper buses loaded with oldie tourists from all over. Autumn = best business and the big boat looks pretty danged empty on its' summer cruises. A ticket for a 2 1/2 hour day-cruise now costs something like $20-25!.....inexpensive.....not.... !

I remember seeing a print of moonrise over Mount as it entered Meredith Bay, in Hawkins Gallery on Main Street, Meredith. The "mauve" evening sky as the full moon was just above the hills was beautiful.
