Default Thought it was me, but.....

I had to go do a couple errands yesterday and the traffic in the Meredith and Weirs area was terrible...heard it from others too...and it was mentioned in another thread that traffic in the area was much heavier than in past years. Here's to hoping that all the traffic brings a great week to the local businesses. And I hope it continues all summer. Went to Shaw's for some of their specials...then to Hannaford...both were packed. Every place along my route seemed to be bustling. I hope we're in for a GREAT summer!

It's been far busier over here as well. The traffic picked up early Friday, and hasn't stopped. The boat traffic has been far busier as well, but still, a very wide open lake. Lot's of pent up energy for boaters here, since the lake basically opened up a couple of week ago, after two months of flooding and no gas.

I agree with the increased traffic although several motels I passed this am had vacancies. Having the 4th on a Monday can't hurt either. Hope it keeps up for the sake of the Lake businesses.

The highway was extremely quiet for me getting up there Friday night and then again going home Monday night. Not a single slow down.
