Beware of floating objects set loose after that naughty lady Irene's visit to our great lake. Retrieved a heavy section of a 10" diameter log floating offshore of Bear Island on our trip to the boatyard at about noon today.

I have taken one of my boats out of the water TWICE this summer to repair the low-water pickup/nosecone on my lower-unit to repair/fill/feather and paint the damage done from things floating unseen in the water. Luckily, the nose-cone is a weld-on unit, done right by the welder they are talking about in the trailer bunk thread, and is straight and secure...
