Where would I find a cheap auger for the derby? I'm willing to rent or buy but do now want a brand new one. Any thoughts? Thanks!

The ice isn't that thick, if I were you I would just get a cheap ice chisel at whatever bait store you go to and forget about an auger.

You can get a hand auger at AJ's in Meredith for about 20 bucks. It really isnt' that hard to hand drill through 12 inches of ice by hand. I've done it a hundred times.

I am pretty sure I saw one for sale in the Laconia Sun last week, also check out Craigs List.
