Several lake neighbors joined my family last Friday evening for the opening performance of "Leading Ladies" at the Village Players Theater in Wolfeboro.
We had a very enjoyable evening. All agreed it was a funny, fun, play, with solid performances all around. Not a bad night out for $12. There are 2 more performances this coming weekend. http://www.village-players.com/plays...ingladies.html http://www.fosters.com/apps/pbcs.dll...NTERTAINMENT01 (I have no connection to the theater. I'd just like to see entertainment such as this continue and thrive in the Lakes Region) |

My wife, our son and I went on Friday evening to see this production. It was the night before my son's 17th birthday, so we went out to dinner in Wolfeboro and then to this play. He had performed in his high school's production of the same play last year, and wanted to see this version.
In short, a wonderful performance. Very well done! And it was pretty close to a full house on Friday night -- a very good sign. We will definitely be back to see future performances by the Village Players. Two big thumbs up!

I'm involved with the Village Players and it's great to read these reviews. Our next production is the musical "Gypsy", which will be running the first week in November. We are starting rehearsals this week. Lots of rehearsing time so you know this show is going to be polished community theatre.
![]() A $12 (per ticket) play and dinner in Wolfeboro makes for a nice evening after the foliage has all gone. |
