Default Mooring Field

Our association is going to apply for additional moorings next year and needs to update our map of the beach and surrounding area to scale. Can anyone recommend a computer program that could make such a map, maybe starting with a google earth overhead view? Any feedback ro suggestions from people who have gone through the application process? Thanks

You can use the snipping tool in your accessories folder to capture the google earth image. Save it as a .jpg and then open it with office picture manager. You can then lighten up the image to make an high contrast background for Powerpoint. Then just import the image into Powerpoint to make the new map.

My printed survey included a computer-generated sketch of about ¼-mile of the neighboring shoreline—which was accepted for my mooring application.

Perhaps an abutter has a hard-copy of a recent survey.

There is probably a survey of the area already on file with the county registry of deeds. You can just mark that up and submit it with your application.
