Default moultonboro and planning board

There was an attempt to remove two planning board members in Moultonborough over the last few months. I just read the write up in the paper today that the selectmen voted against removal. Seems like this was a fiasco and very divisive and not sure all the details

Default Moultonboro Speaks

There is a lot of info here, a bit slanted perhaps but technically accurate I think.

Default Small town politics

It is mostly related to the lookout tower that was built on Red Hill without building permits, and then the owner went for retro-active approvals. See the thread here for details on that...

While the meeting was somewhat chaotic, it was really quite good and entertaining. It is sad that the two were put through the wringer but what else gets 100 people out to an afternoon town meeting and lets our elected (and hired) officials show their true colors.

I remember that thread on here, Lakeg. Thanks for sharing. When I heard it on Channel 9 this morning they were vague as to what it was about also, so I was wondering.

well this hasn't ended as a petition was given to selectmen that they not renew the town administrator's contract. Two hundred people signed it
