Default I don't think they're snowmobile tracks...

If you look close. Some of them come to an end. I think they are linear soft spots melting the snow.

Default Sled tracks on the Weirscam today

Probably Santa practicing "touch and go" landings just for giggles on his way back North. LOL.

Yup, my bad. I had wondered about that. But they seemed to be too straight and numerous to be ice cracks. Given they are still there after several hours of snow this afternoon, it must be water.

I'm still with PBFF. Before the weekend is out, someone/something will unintentionally go into the lake.

Lets see it was four summers ago that we were leaving Meredith in our boat in mid July. We heard a high pitched motor and looked around just as a snow mobile passed us by headed to the Wiers. The Marine Mounties pulled him over and off course his mighty craft sank immediately. Being the safe guy he was he still had his helmet on and almost drown.

And you wonder if they will go out there when the ice is thin?????

Default Amphibious snowmobile on the Lake

A guy in Gilford has come up with an "amphibious" snowmobile (snow, ice, and water) that he's selling as a rescue vehicle. It was written up in the Union Leader in November:

The embedded photos seem to be gone, but the article is still available. I did a quick search and found a promotional video on Youtube:

Very impressive, and glad to see it's home grown technology. Good luck W.I.S.E. Technology.
