Getting to Mark Island

I am trying to get out to Mark Island late in the week of 4/21...I happen to have the week off and would love to check on the house. I've spoken to ISS and Island Services and it looks like a no go. If they can't make it out, I assume all is lost until ice out but thought I would ask anyone here if they know a safe way to get out there.

The only safe way to get out there at this point is by hovercraft or ice boat. I know Steve at Island Support Services has an ice boat or at least he did. Not sure if he uses it to bring people out at this time of year but you could ask him, though it wouldn't be a cheap ride I bet...

I take that back, by late next week you should be boat accessible.
