Bet the only reasonably priced "alternative" energy that comes out of that idea is lots of firewood. The rest sounds like a complete wast of time and money. However it sounds good and ultimately seems these days that's all that matters.

Here is one states take on all of these homeowners getting solar panels.
So, apparently, one gets charged extra for getting solar panels.

"Arizona Public Service hopes to more than quadruple the monthly fee it charges to solar customers, advocates for the rooftop solar industry say.

The move comes just weeks after the Salt River Project board approved a solar charge on users in its territory that is expected to average $50 per month."

Default New location

The referenced article is from last November. That location still might be considered, but the latest proposal is to put the solar farm behind NH Coop's substation on Moultonborough Neck Road.
