I have been researching purchasing a classic car ('40's or early '50s). I know there are hundreds of classic cars stored in garages/barns in the Lakes Region, but it seems like most of the (semi-local) dealers are in Maine or southern NH. I am trying to find local classic car expertise for:
1) Inspectors that I can hire to inspect potential cars before I purchase
2) Local service for classic cars
3) Local reliable people or dealers to purchase a car from (I scour Hemmings, AutoTrader Classics, etc)
4) Advice on owning a classic car (for recreation, not as an investment)

There is a place on the Tamworth/Ossippe border that deals in classic cars -- Don's Vintage Rides. They seem to have an irregular schedule -- sometimes they have a bunch of cars lined up outside, sometimes the place looks deserted -- but they have a number of cars for sale on their website. There are also a couple of places in Melvin Village.
