Hello, anyone know the ice thickness on the North side of Lake Winnisquam, out near Three Island, or just south of Three Island?
I am hoping to head out there to take my Grandson ice fishing in that area on Saturday... |

Looking from my camera, it looks like open water in the center from Pot island south. Not sure north of Pot island

You should be OK near 3 Island, look for bob houses and use their tracks as a reference but check the thickness. Stay well north of Pot Island. I am a mile north of the sand bar on the western shore and its open water across to Belmont beach and as far north as I can see. I had 6 to 8" of ice in the cove along Lower Bay road last Saturday 40 yards from the open water, crazy.
I have not seen so much open water this time of year in 50 years! I am fishing Newfound this weekend . . . |
