Did any one happen to catch the oxen pulling competition at the Sandwich Fair? Being a flatlander from northern Mass, this was first for me! I think the top weight the two animals pulled was 21500 pounds!!! Simply Amazing! Other than the slight sprinkle of rain on Sunday afternoon it was great.Lots to see and lots to do. The kids were so proud of their animals, you could really tell how hard they worked at presenting them for judging. We'll be marking our calendar for next years Fair It was great!

This is what they did before Tractor Pulls!
![]() As kids we went several times to the Plymouth Fair and saw the horse and oxen pulling contests. My grandmother having been a farm girl growing up loved to watch the events. The size of the animals is impressive. |
