First experience on the Dive

So my wife and I checked out the Dive yesterday- before the rain.
We accessed by wading through chest deep water at the sand bar outside of smalls cove. We are not very tall.
They have a pair of metal stairs that drop into the sand for easy access.

I gotta tip my hat to the owners and their crew. My wife ordered a coconut margarita, myself a Heineken and a order of crabby patties to split. The crab cakes were delicious, some of the best I have had. My beer was ice cold and my wife’s margarita as absolutely delicious. So good that I ordered one when my beer was finished.

Price. Heineken $8, Marg. $14, crabby Patti $13.99
Yes a little pricey as we expected. But the quality of the product, the service, and the companionship of other patrons held up to the cost. Not to add it’s a novelty experience. We did enjoy ourselves and will go back.
Just hoping that their quality will not change.

Good review! We cruised by and I wondered how people get aboard the vessel.
Wading to its location is what I thought but wasn’t sure...you answered my question.
The “short people” question now arises...I’m sure chest deep wading is not everyone’s desire to have lunch and a drink!
Perhaps a shuttle of some type would benefit them?
They could have some strapping lads, of adequate height, shuttling Dive goers via some kind of shuttle dingy...
Hmmm...am I sounding too much like FFL!!??

We were discussing that a few kids with a couple of paddle boards-SUP’s-
Could probably make a good days buck by shuttling people back and forth.

On another note. My biggest concern was that my stern anchor might come ungrounded and my boat would drift while no ones is aboard to correct the issue.

They also allow boats to pull up to unload passengers and then just the captain has to wade to The Dive.

I've been lead to believe that the Dive is relying on Cisco to prep the food so as long as the timer gets set the same each time the quality should be consistent.

Do you know if they are open when dockside or only when they are underway?

Maybe they can modify tshirt cannons to fire pool noodles sufficient distance to waiting boats so customers can noodle their way in and out. Of course that leaves an issue of noodle collection after visits. Perhaps noodle swapping between outgoing & incoming guests?

Say..... for the low, low price of just $139.99 ...... at Rand's Hardware in Plymouth...... you can purchase a disposable battery powered come-along.... You can attach fishing line to the noodles and just use the come-along to tow the noodle passengers aboard.

Betterthanbacon gave a great opening review. Thank you. I'm away from Winni for the next couple of weeks, but I'm still interested in similar experiences. Still haven't heard about a home port. There was some talk about ticketed cruises or events. Where would such things originate?
