I remember buying my first six pack. I was faced with the dilemma of paying 99 cents for Old Milwaukee or $1.29 for Schlitz. I went for Old Milwaukee because it was cheaper. When my father saw the beer in the refrigerator he said “son, now that you’re old enough to buy beer you need to buy the good stuff...Schlitz”. How things have changed.

The comments said Gunstock, which would have made for an interesting "road course". Even I would have liked to see motorcycles navigating a course like that.
It sure beats downtown-Wolfeboro wheelies. ![]() If you want to see some motorcycle "spills" check out the races at Nürburgring's old road course in Germany, where for about $10, you can "run-what-you-brung" over a 12-kilometer course. (Been there twice with Porsche and BMW, for ten days of "seat-time"). Sometimes, oil is spilled, which makes for slippery biking. Amazing how bikers take a tumble, sprint back to their bike, and start it back up! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3JRbZV5epX4 |

Those vintage films were great- thanks for posting.
As far as seeing "spills", the Isle of Man race (located between England and Ireland) is brutal. I've raced at Bryarsports and Daytona but I would not race at Isle of Man. It's based on time trials but the course goes through small villages and is extremely dangerous. |
