Default Clearwater Lodges in Wolfeboro

So I hear a water spout touched down at Clearwater Lodges (not too far from the Libby Museum) on Saturday afternoon August 22nd.

Supposedly four big trees were blown over and crushed (totaled) several of their cabins. Luckily there were no deaths or injuries.

I drove by today to see the damage, but couldn't see too much from the road; was the damage far more visible from the water?

My understanding is the waterspout was near Moose island on the west side of the lake.

WMUR reported two cottages at Clearwater cottages were split in two, and two others suffered roof damage.

Cool We're Luckier Than the Last Tornado That Came Our Way...

Yikes!

Given a "less-wet" view north, I could have seen it "personal" from my place.

The cottages are on a steep lakefront hill, east of Libby Museum. (Lots of boats on moorings or slips in the area).

A photo was taken off Moose Island (south of Rattlesnake).

The picture, and more tornado information just posted on this event, see:

No we couldn't see them from the lake either so they must have been in the middle.
