Trying to get some firewood on relatively short notice in the Melvin Village/Tuftonboro vacinity. Anyone have any suggestions? Haven't had much luck so far. Thanks in advance.

Try "Ernie" at 569-2041 as he serves Tuftonboro. Specify what you're looking for (mostly birch, maple, oak, apple, whatever), and be sure to advise the season you intend to burn it. Write down the date and price he gives you over the phone. (Prices subject to change upon delivery).
For myself, I'm looking for "green" wood for next season. Two seasons ago, I paid $80 a cord for green wood, but that supply is dwindling now. (Although the present supply will be augmented by sawing-up some this winter's windfalls). Time to reorder for next season -- anyone shopped for cheap green wood this year? Lots of windfalls around Winnipesaukee? |
