I don’t want to talk about Trump rather I’m wondering if folks have opinions on the traffic on Monday. I need to go that way around noon and I’m starting to think traffic is going to be a nightmarish. Thoughts?

Best to plan to avoid. I don't think anyone can know for sure.
I do that with any major event. |

Parking opens at 7:00. Doors open at 9:00. DJT will speak at noon. Kingswood Arts Center only holds 850. It’s going to be a nightmare!

I'm leaving hone at 7, I am doubting it's that large a crowd actually going inside.
Itinerary says doors open @ 9AM, don't show later than 10:30. Guessing they have a handle on attendance, and 10:30 seems way late, that should be obvious. Protester attendeance may be one thing, but I just got tickets last week so it wasn't super-sold out. |

I'm thinking the bigger issue—with regards to traffic—will be his security added to the holiday visitors, especially since it's looking to be a great weather day after a few days of rain. Good luck, and report back how it goes? Sent from my SM-S911U using Tapatalk |

The last time there was this kind of shindig, significant participants landed by helicopter uphill from my cottage.

He is most likely not from NH. There are only a few towns that do this, and I don't think Wolfeboro is one of them.
Columbus Day is not highly celebrated in NH either... other that government and certain industries... most are open a standard day. Presidential candidates have used this past weekend to stump for as long as I can remember... mostly due to large gatherings at various outdoor events. |

Until yesterday, I was with you on this. It bugged me that people were judging him by today's standards. Plus, all of us are still living in and supporting the society we condemn him for starting, and pretty much none of us are doing anything to improve that stuff. So kind of hypocritical to complain and throw him under the bus.
But then I read Jeff Jacoby's column on why he's been wrong about defending Columbus. Jacoby is the Globe's conservative columnist. I know he's not conservative enough for some here, but it's a good read and new objective information https://www.bostonglobe.com/2023/10/...verlay_Results |
