Hoping folks in Laconia could give me a comparison. I have always used breezeline which my line is only 5 years old because they had to drop a new one but i know their pole lines on the street are old, but 3 years ago Comcast Xfinity came into the area with new lines and now this Fidium is in the area as well.
I was hoping people that have the new xfiniti or Fidium in Laconia could provide some feedback Thank you

Sorry. No specific answer here.
What are you looking for? Speed? Cost? Usage? |

We had Breezeline for the last 8-9years. Somewhat happy, sometimes we would get Buffering. Seven or so months ago buffering became more frequent. At the same time we saw ads from comcast with lower prices, we called Breezeline as a longtime customer we were looking for a new deal, they said nothing could be done, we were paying in vicinity of $145 month for speed of 500. We visited the comcast store in Gilford, 1000 speed , guaranteed 5 yrs $65.00. Could not be more happy, they waved install, plus 2 years Peacock.

Still waiting for Fidium! I've been switching back and forth between Breezeline and Xfinity. Both provide decent service. One keep cutting the price of the other. When my deal is up, I often find the other have a better deal!
I only buy internet. TV channels are handled by Apollo TV.

Go for fiber if you can get it (Fidium or NH Broadband). It has faster upload speed and doesn't go out during power failures because data travels to the central office using photons, not electrons. The cable folks are talking about a hybrid offering, some day, with fiber to the neighborhood and cable to your house. This will raise the upload speed capacity but won't solve the power outage issues. Of course, you are not getting cable tv with the fiber services, but there are plenty of streaming live tv services to choose from that run great over fiber internet.

I had Breezline since they were Metrocast. I actually worked there for 20 years.. I installed the very first cable modem in the system way back when. worked there from 2000-2020, got laid off during covid. Dropped their video service a couple years ago and went to streaming, which was a great decision, way more to watch for far less money. Had Breezline gig internet for years and always had issues. Slow speeds and connection issues. Had enough of that at $175/mo and switched to Xfinity for gig speed at $50/mo for 5 years. Speeds have been faster and the connection more stable. No issues at all so far at about 3 months in. In Laconia by the way.

We just switched from breezeline to t mobile. $35/mth for 300mbps. Breezeline customer service is terrible. It took 2 weeks to cancel. You have to call the retention dept to cancel, but the phone lines were down making it impossible. We wound up going to the office in Rochester to cancel. Even then it took 2 trips to get it right.

I used Facebook messenger to contact Breezeline to negotiate a price decrease and got an immediate reply. 3 yr, 1gig at $55- internet only.

I do not get 5G service in my year round home, so hotspots are out of the equation.
My property in Plymouth has 5 bars of 5G service. The local library loan out T-mobile hotspots, so I checked one out. I'm amaze how well the hotspot delivers! The grandkids are on their phones and doing homework on their lap tops while I am streaming the news! No buffering! Not sure how may mbps the hotspot is rated, Speedtest shows around 300. Funny how college towns have great cellular coverage!
