Default October Moonrise

Shortly after 6:00 PM this evening the moon rose over Chestnut Cove. The photo below was taken at 6:09 PM, showing the beauty of the scene.

P.S. Note to Mee-n-Mac - keepa-u-hands off this picture! This moon doesn't need any "cracks"!!

That is an awesome photo, DRH. Jeff was flying with a friend this evening and watched the sun set and the moon rise.

No butts about it there seems to be a recurring moon theme here. I did't know you could write Italian.

No, I don't mind at all!

Did you download the larger version of the photo for your Windows desktop? The larger (1024 pixel wide) version will fill the screen of a monitor set to that resolution. If your monitor is set for a higher resolution than 1024, let me know and I'll post a larger version for that resolution.

You can "stretch" a smaller photo to fill your screen for the desktop image, but the picture often loses its detail when that's done.

We've had 3 beautiful moon rises in a row. Tonight's included the Mount sailing in under it.
