Thumbs down No Swimming

Found this news item this evening:
Quote:
LACONIA, N.H. (AP) - Officials are recommending against swimming at (New Hampshire's) Weirs Beach because of high bacteria levels.
Tests Friday showed the high levels and more tests are expected today.
The city Parks and Recreation Department says lifeguards are still on duty at the popular beach, and recommending people stay out of the water until bacteria levels go down.

Default

The water at Weirs beach is relatively stagnant because of the jetty. Mix stagnant water with hot weather and lots of kids in poopy diapers and you get a recipe for beach closure...
