Default West Alton Marina - Route 11?

Can anyone confirm where on Rt 11 West Alton Marina is? I have to pick up a boat there tomorrow afternoon, and can't find good directions. Everything I find mentions West Alton and Laconia. I assume Laconia is their mail PO box only.

Any special hints to get down there too? Is it hidden off the road? I know the area well. How far before Ames Farm is it if I'm going West of 11 from Alton Bay?

Thanks everyone...

Default West Alton Marina

West Alton Marina is on Rt. 11 near the intersection of Rt. 11 and Rt. 11A (which goes up the mountain to the Gunstock Ski Resort). Coming from Alton Bay, it is roughly 7 miles from the bridge at the tip of the Bay. Driving toward Gilford from Alton Bay, Rt. 11 will increase from 30 MPH to 35 MPH, to 50 MPH and then to 55 MPH. You will drive past a "Scenic View" on the right side of Rt. 11 that looks out over the mouth of Alton Bay. Continue on Rt. 11 past the Mt. Major parking area on the left side of the road. Shortly thereafter you will see Rt. 11D meet Rt. 11 on your right, and the speed limit will reduce to 40 MPH. You will then go around some curves in the road, and just past the curves Rt. 11A will be on your left and West Alton Marina will be on your right. There's a sign at the entrance to West Alton Marina's driveway. Turn into the driveway and follow it back to the marina.

Thanks Don. The server ended up shutting down before I could get your info, but I found it no problem. Their entrance was well marked. And once I saw it, I said "you moron!" because I've commented so many times that I wanted to drive down and check it out.

Thanks again...
