Default Food Coops or local farms

Are there any local food coops or places that communities grow gardens together?

You sound like a person wanting to know some of the alternatives (to mainstream culture).

The big food coop is in Concord. There are health food stores all over - I think you are north of the lake, right?

I'm not aware of any coops up that way, but check out Food Conspiracy in Meredith and Sunflower in Laconia.

I know there are community gardens in Laconia.

Other places you might like:

LARELLA (Lakes Region Living Lightly Association) - a network of people in the Lakes Region who care about the environment, stewardship of the earth, renewable energy, etc. Website www.larella.org

Also in Laconia is Sustainable Sustenance - a group focused on food sustainabiilty and Locavore options. I know they have a Facebook Page, not sure about a website (there are two SS on Facebook - chose the non-profit, not the business link).

Default Community Supported Agriculture (CSA)

There is also BigBanana.org. It is a CSA to join families to small growers in the Lakes Region.
