Lunch suggestion
I wasnt sure which forum to put this under, either here, boating, or restaurant!!!
Through limited boating & snowmobilng I am familier with the lake from Alton, to Paugus bay, down to Merideth. This weekend we have a boat & am thinking of exploring the other side of the lake & looking for any suggestions on a nice spot for lunch, accessible by boat. Thanks |

How about----
Why not just take a fishing pole and line and catch you lunch and cook it on a portable propane grill right on board at a wonderful scenic location . Couldn't be fresher......

Wolfeboro or Meredith
Those are the two best locations for lunch variety and docking accessibility on Lake Winnipesaukee. If you have been to Meredith I'd give Wolfeboro a try. The Wolfeboro Inn has been getting good reviews recently and you certainly can't go wrong at The Restaurant. Good Luck!

Sad to say things can go very wrong at The Restaurant. We have been frequent diners there since it opened and have been very happy with it. Lunch there this past Wednesdy was disastrous including the management, wait staff and food quality. Worse experience I've had in any restaurant in a long time. Something went very wrong that day. |

Lakeside deli and Grille Meredith
I also suggest the Lakeside Deli and Grille in Meredith. They have their menu posted http://www.lakesidenh.com/. The atmosphere is casual and relaxing with indoor and outdoor dining options. Service is efficient and the food is very good. Nice beer and wine offerings and daily specials. It is our first choice for lunch spot in Meredith.

Also the Red Hill Dari is just a short walk from the Center Harbor town docks......soft serve, clams, lobster rolls and Micki makes the best onion rings on the planet.
Usually plenty of room at the town docks. |

Places for lunch
In Center Harbor, you can call Canoe, they provide a shuttle from the dock.
At Melvin Village you can walk to the Pine Cones, excellent pizza! Pack a lunch and head to Blanchard Island! I think the Strawberry Patch is open for brunch in Wolfeboro. In Meredith, I reccomend the Town Docks In Glendale, try Lyons Den Pick up a copy of 'Boater's Secrets'.
