Waldo Peppers by Boat
I haven't been to the website for a while but all the warm weather this week is making me long for the lake so I have been reading all the posts about Waldo Peppers. My summer place is about 1/2 mile from Waldo Peppers and I haven't been in that building since it was a general store owned by my neighbor. Well I will be visiting this spring and look forward to checking the place out.
I have a question about Waldo Peppers by boat. I noticed there is free delivery within 6 miles but is there delivery to the public docks? Also, I used to dock over at Handy Landing and run up to go to the store. Does Waldo Peppers have any kind a agreement with Handy Landing where boaters can dock down there and run up to pick up lunch? Thanks, see everyone soon... -Dave

Sadly for some, Waldo’s cannot deliver any longer.
The insurance companies are cracking down with all businesses that offer this service. Liability. So you will have to dock at The Weirs and walk on over. McDude, DRH, Mrs. DRH and I were there for a visit on Friday. Mmm. Good food and good people. My favorite. (We missed you IG!) |

Unfortunately...
Unfortunately, RG is correct. We are no longer able to offer delivery service - anywhere. Our sign will soon be changed to reflect this, and our new menus will reflect the change as well.
Regretably, the liability issues of our time will create this type of restriction on a growing scale. On another note: Marcucci asked about docking at Handy Landing, so I'll address that issue too. Handy Landing general store is allotted ONLY ONE dock for their customers. The remainder of those docks are rented by private boat owners, and are off limits!!!!! I would respectfully request that customers not tie up the dock reserved for Handy Landing, unless you intend on shopping at their store. Their store is a bit smaller now, but still offers lots of items necessary for a day out on the lake, so I would encourage everyone to pay them a visit and stock up on ice and snacks, as well as batteries, flashlights, flotation devices, and all the other great boating needs they carry. Their dock space does not come free to them, so please help them continue to offer that convenience! Some stuff might be less expensive at Walmart, but you can't get their by boat! Think ICE OUT everybody!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Rats! Foiled again Batman!
I really liked the delivery at Weirs Docks... I guess I will have to walk from now on. (probably good for me)
So... one can still go to Waldo Peppers by boat... just a nice walk over the bridge! Thanks Pepper for the great service in the past .. see you soon.. and sorry, RG, I could not make lunch last Friday... I came very close to making the trek north. Soon (very soon)

Thanks, GWC. A picture really is worth 1000 words! I remember the plane, just didn't notice the sign. I know right where it is. Next time I'm in the area I'll have to stop by for one of their Lobster Rolls.

When I have my dog, you deliver in your parking lot. Does this mean I have to sit at an outdoor table now?

Just because you're special!
Newbie - never fear! I will still personally deliver your lobster roll to the car window when the poochie is with you - just because you're so special!
I think my insurance surely will still cover me if I hit a car while walking through my own parking lot.

One word to Describe Waldo Peppers:
YUM !!!
Finally stopped by Peppers this afternoon , on our way out of the Lakes Region to head for home. What a great place!! My husband and I both had the hot buttered Lobster Roll - DEE-LISH!! Wonderful atmosphere, and great service. Introduced myself to PEPPER, - very nice! So... all in all a great lunch, and a great way to end our time spent at the Lake! Thanks PEPPER!! NHKathy |

Lobster Rolls are as good as ever
Stopped by for a couple of Lobster Rolls today, and they were as delicious as ever. Pepper asked why I don't post very often, and it's because I don't have much to say. So Pepper, this post is for you...

The best got...better
Just had my first lobster roll of the season at Waldo Pepper's. I told "Pepper" it tasted better than before, thinking this was just my excited imagination. She said they have a new seafood vendor and the lobster meat IS sweeter and plumper. The half-slab of slow cooked ribs I had as a "chaser" wasn't bad either.

Waldo Pepper
My wife and I had lunch at Peppers on Saturday she had the lobster roll and loved it. I had one of the biggest Cheeseburgers I have ever seen. The walk back to the boat was needed after eating that much. The food was great we will be back. Thanks Bill
