Looking for some leads, as to who can construct, and here is the kicker... An Affordable website. I have a friend that would like to complement their business with a simple easy to use and maintain website. Any ideas?

can't speak to cost nor ease of use, but as far as a "lead" I know there is a firm called ProNH that does work with some of the local (Laconia) merchants.
I believe it's a "one man" business. pronh.com Again, I do not know anything further than -->> Just a name for you !!

Yahoo?
Yahoo's small business services is pretty good. You can build and maintain a simple site yourself, or have a pro get you started and maintain it from there. They also have some easy to use search engine marketing services available. http://smallbusiness.yahoo.com/
