Goodfellas departing downtown, going to Weirs
Saw this article in the Citizen today and was happy to see that the old Willow's space will be getting a new restaurant...

Good Food
I have always had a good experience there, the owner's are from Chealsa MA originally and they moved up there a long time ago. Their tips and burgers are great and Mike is a great guy. I wish them all the luck it will be a good place. It will be worth the trip for everyone and they are never skimpy. Good Luck!

Hope the new location and move works out. Downtown Laconia is a ghost town. Difficult for tourist to navigate it appears to me that you are always driving past the rear entrance of stores or need to keep driving through a narrow street with little or no convenient parking, and not enough shops, restaurants, etc to make it a destination. The area of the new location appears to be on the upswing with several eateries to choose from. Parking at the new location is easy, visibility from the street is only fair, but if the product and service is good, they will come. Best of luck to them.

Laconia used to have a beautiful, wide main street with lots of shops and parking.Totally ruined by urban renewal in the 70's as well as the release of the entire population of the Laconia State School.Nice town to grow up in,but wouldn't want to live there now.
