Default Lake Winny - Lowest Levels

I remember a number of years (12 or so) ago that they dropped the lake quite a bit in order to work on the dam or something. Does anyone have any pictures of the lake when they did this?

Default No pictures.

But, I remember back in the '60's the lake was so low, my Dad's dock was dry and we had to beach the boat. It was tough to navigate around the lake because there were new water hazards not marked. Braun Bay was a huge sandy beach as was Ellacoya.

I remember the property owners were blaming it on the dam operator. Never knew what really happened.

I have a neighbor how bought back in the 60s and thought he has this really cool place set back from the water, with a nice beach are etc. for the kids....... His comment " I was young dumb and didn't think, I just wanted to be on the lake...... Then a few years later the water was back up and this huge lake front yard he thought he had was all gone.....
