The Barn Door
First time poster to the forum here-
Does anyone have info on what is happening (if anything) to the place that was once the Barn Door? I have heard that it was bought by The Common Man is there any truth to that rumor? |

I Heard The Same Thing Last Weekend.
You'd think it would give some stability to the location if it's true. I've got my fingers and toes crossed.

Barn Door
It is (was) located in Wolfeboro on the same road as the boat museum. It is down a bit further from the museum on the left hand side of the road as you are heading away from Wolfeboro.

The Penguin
IF it was the Penguin nightclub, then I know what you are talking about. Have not been there since. Toooo far to walk from the dock. LOL!

No, it was not bought by the Common Man. Without having any specifics, I believe it was purchased by someone(s) who have a restaurant over toward the seacoast which is focused on healthy/organic food. There was a small flurry of activity mid-summer and then . . . . nothing. I expect the economy isn't helping.

What was the Penguin Night Club? What years was it open. I have never heard of that establishment.

There's a sign up saying it will be sold at auction...end of July I think...
It's an interesting location...but it would at a minimum need major renovation, or just raze the whole thing and start over. |
