Just talked to my Marina this morning and they will have mine ready for operation Friday! I also have a bad case of "boating itch".

Steve is turning my water on next week and the floors will be done by next Friday. I'd be surprised if I couldn't make it to the island by Easter. ![]() |

The point at which you start to lose your mind once you see open water and cannnot yet get onto the boat.

'Dropped the skiff into the Lake three days ago and put on my new Mercury (Tohatsu) 15 horse. It started on the third pull!
My dock is completly iced in so I just sat there taking a cruise in neutral for a while. Deb came down and looked at me like I was doing something nutty. She then said something about me being beyond help and went back to her studio. I don't care. It was still a nice day for a cruise. Misty Blue |

That's funny Misty. Reminds me of myself in September when I'm standing in my living room with my skis and skiboots on.

Last Sunday, after a 13 hour night shift, I got home around eight. My girls wern't ready yet (go figure!) I hid a bunch of easter eggs and headed down to the dock.
The air was warm and the Lake is still cool and there was an mist on Braun Bay so you could not see across. So I fired up the skiff and headed out. The Lake was like glass. I headed out to Hermit cove to check out the loon sanctuary and there was a loon pair cutting a small wake. They didn't stop to say Hi but one of them did wave. As I headed back to the barn the sun came out and the fog lifted exposing the Restwood (green) boathouse across from Gliens Island. That's where the Gadfly lives. I just stopped the boat and watched it happen. I thought to myself, I think that I just saw the smile of the Great Spirit. Seemed right on misty Easter Sunday. Misty Blue. |
