Anyone know what all the surveying and markers are on RT 109 this week? Ben there for a few days now putting up orange markers along the side of the road, between 19 and 20 mile bays. Near Red Gate Road area.
Inquiring minds want to know? ![]() |

I've seen the state suveyers for decades up and down Rte 106. The state took land from land owners along Rte 106 in the anticipation of widening the road. Not sure how many more decades it will take to actually see and progress?

There was a guy there early this morning...at 0700 on a Sunday no less...Looking at some trees along the section that has many new survey markers. At least I think he was looking at the trees. He had a notebook and was standing right in front of one of the markers looking up. Something is going on.....

Maybe they are checking where the transmission lines can go for the 'Red Hill Wind Farm'. Sorry to scare you but if they put up the Groton Wind Farm without telling us, they may try to pull this one while everyone isconcentrating on the Northern Pass.
