My new favorite pastime at this website..

Is watching the East Alton General Store webcam. For some reason, sitting down here in Florida, I am really finding it grand to watch the activity. Yesterday, the snow was thick and heavy, today is nice and sunny....I will truly be able to watch Spring arrive.

It's time I got out of the house more, I think.

Perhaps you're right. We can all use a little more of a challenge than listening to the thunderous crashing of the snow coming down, and then listening to the roar of the snow melting, followed by the high pitched screaming of the grass turning green and thrusting its way towards that springtime sun. Of course in the fall, you have that incessant bombardment of leaves banging on the ground and the roof. Oh, what is a body to do???? easy, just watch a different web cam, right???

Thanks a lot for tormenting me ,Lady.We didn't get to Florida this year and although we love the winters in NH....we're still dreaming of those beautiful sunsets over Sanibel Island....the waves....the breeze...AARRRGGHHHH ... I'm losing it.

Spring must be here. I went to the Red Soxs game today and they lost to the Twins. They looked like they were playing in slow moton. Curt S pitched 3 good innings. I think they need the cooler weather of Boston to do better.

Any pictures to post? I would love to see what Captiva looks like since the storms.

I would not post a photo of Florida although my new avatar was taken there.

My NH photos are hanging on the wall in Florida.

I have been enjoying the ice out comments and watching the CAMs.

Lake Wentworth archive shows good time sequences of the lake change and the ice should go out there first.

If there were a contest for most loyal Winnie Forum fan I'm sure Lady Di would be up in the top bracket. Her body is in FL but her mind is in NH . Thanks for sharing your favorite Winnie site activity. My site activities are usually limited by time. On the weekends I look at pictures and spend time with the history and other features at Lake.cc

Ya, my heart is there. After all, I grew up there. My roots are there.

But, alas I live here. I try to fit in, but every once in a while I slip and say something nice about here, as well. Most understand, some don't. But alas, I do my best. And Don still lets me come here, so I am trying to behave.

I think it would be really cool to meet up with some NH folks when they're in this neck of the woods. I would love to meet Gilly 20 and the Mrs. sometime.
