Dog SLed Race Postponed

Anyone know why the dog sled races scheduled for next weekend were postponed for one week? The current conditions seem fine and more snow is on the way Wednesday. Attending these races is one of my favorite winter activities, but I won't be able to go now.

They reported it as poor snow conditions. The warm weather now will hurt. Unknown how much the snow on wednesday will help. What is underneath it will be ice in a lot of places and that isn't good for foot pads.
