Default Propane contract Price

That time of year again....have to negotiate for 90,000 gal of propane for 20 accounts.
Last year, we were at $1.69 but ran out due to the harsh winter and went to market price ...around $2.20.
Like to know what kind of prices you are seeing for group purchasing.......never tried Amerigas, but used Irving for several years.

That's a lot of propane

How much did you go over by last winter? I've heard from some sources that propane prices have been going up

We paid dealer cost plus $0.40 last year, a variable rate. We started the season at $1.65 but ended up a bit over $2 later on. There was no usage limit to exceed since the end price was dependent on the Selkirk terminal rate plus $0.40. Our annual usage between a few accounts is about 8-10k gallons.

We use Americas and we're not under contract last year. In January and February we paid over $4.00 per galln. Closer to $5.00 if I remember correctly.

Default Our Town prices are in

The Our Town buyer's group set upcoming propane prices (net 10) from $2.93 (0-150 gals) to $2.25 (3001-5000 gal). At 1000 gallons, I'll be paying $2.38.
