Hi Everyone--How about a cheap Saturday night movie date this weekend? The Village Players theatre is showing Sunset Boulevard.
This Oscar Winning film stars William Holden, Gloria Swanson, and Jack Webb. The film takes us back to the 1950's and tells a murderous Hollywood tale of Norma Desmond, played by Swanson. It is set in her dark, self-contained world in her crumbling mansion on Sunset Boulevard. There, the former silent film star, dreams of her return to film; but she is twisted and lives secluded and as a recluse in her own demented world. A handsome screenwriter arrives with a script written for the once great Norma Desmond, and that is when things get even more interesting. Tickets are $5.00 and are available at the door or online at www.village-players.com Saturday, Apr 16 at 8pm Sunday, Apr 17 at 2pm 51 Glendon St. (Behind Rite Aid) |
