Smile Engagement Announcement!

Hello!

Some fun news I would like to share with my fellow forum members -- I proposed to my girlfriend Megan on Thursday and she said yes! I took her to Spindle point (on the boat) and I had her pull the ring up on a fishing line. Of course, I now call it a rock fish, not a ring. I Thought it was a little risky to do it that way, but it was fun and she never would have expected THAT!
It got me thinking, how many of you have asked/had marraige proposals on the lake? This is the most special place in the world for me, and now it's very special to the both of us! Thanks for letting me share my story and I look forward to hearing some of yours! There are pictures on the photopost!

Cheers!

Mike

Talking The Subject

Congratulations!

It's nice that the Lake is considered so special, and I think that's a clever and surprising way of introducing "the subject".

Congrats. Neat idea. Wish I'd thought of it 17 years ago when it was my time to do the same thing.

All the best to both of you!

Default Marriage Proposals

Congratulations!
My son proposed to his wife on our dock the first weekend after ice-out. We are on Bear Island so he had to wait for Mother Nature.
