Roofer/ Rot

Hello, we have a small rod on the porch. There is rot on it we're it abuts the main part of the house. We need the rot fixed and roof fixed we're it meets it. Also there is rot at the peak of the main roof- rake and gable wall. I am not sure how much rot there is. May be worse once it is started.

I see some referrals for roofers but I not sure I need a roofer for this or a all around handy man. Thank you for the help and recommendations.

It sounds like you may have some serious issues. How many layers of shingles are currently on the roof?
