Last night we attended the latest production at The Village Players theater in Wolfeboro, "The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee". If you are looking to support local arts and have a very enjoyable evening out, you should get tickets to see this show.
We've been attending shows at the theater for several years now. Sometimes good, sometimes bad. We've left at intermission for more than a few. But this production may be the best they've done yet. The casting is perfect, performances are funny and enjoyable, and the accompanying orchestra does a great job. A very funny, enjoyable night! http://www.village-players.com/plays...5thannual.html PS: We have no connection the the players other than the pleasure (and sometimes not) of attending their plays. |

Thanks very much for mentioning this. My husband and I went tonight and thoroughly enjoyed it. The cast and crew really put their hearts into the show and seemed to be having as much fun as the audience.
Can't say it was the best that the Village Players ever did because we've seen only one other show there and it was also excellent. Last performance is tomorrow (Sunday) afternoon. |
