Who knows anything about this firm? We ordered a Corian top through Home Depot, which was manufactured by WWD. The Corian has a "dip" in it, it is uneven across the top. WWD is resistant to providing customer service.

Hi
Actually, at first Home Depot respectfully declined to be helpful, as all Corian products are custom. My husband then called Winnisquam Wood Products, who have no concept of "customer service." So, my husband called and spoke to the Big Kahuna at HD, who came to our house last night, looked at the countertop, agreed it was defective, wrapped it up, and took it with him. He stated he hoped to have it remedied and back to us by end of week. This probably means that WWP will "even out" the 1/8 to 1/4 inch "dip" in the middle of the Corian somehow, rather than crafting a new one. We'll see. But, very thankful for the response from management at HD, and will tell them so via letter |

Hi.
Just wanted everyone to know that Ron Anderson, the Kitchen/Bath Specialty manager at Home Depot is a great fellow to work with. When Winnisquam Wood Products screwed up our $900 Corian counter and declined to remedy the situation, Home Depot (who had subcontracted WWP for the job) stepped to the plate. They allowed us to use our $900 already paid for the Corian for any product. We decided against Corian, as Home Depot's manufacturer is WWP... instead we ordered Silestone. Which is more expensive, but great. In the interim, Ron had come to our house and installed a Formica countertop to the cabinet base to enable us to use the "island" throughout the time it took to get the Silestone. He did this on a Sunday! I love the Silestone, and am truly delighted with Home Depot's customer service efforts. |
