Antique and Classic Boat Show 2023 Sat.July 29
Here’s a pic of my last boat “Old’s Cool “at last year’s show, a 14’ custom mahogany runabout I built from scratch in 2021. I will be debuting my new build-a 16’ mahogany runabout called “Encore” built this spring!

Can't wait to go over. I wish there was docking for spectator boats but I get it.
What kind of plans to did you use? I've been thinking about a 16-17' runabout build for a while when I get my car back on the road. I've been looking at Glen L boats. If I go, I'll try to find you and pick your brain. |

'48 Chris Craft Deluxe
Here's my '48 Deluxe that took the People's Choice award last year and will be there again this year (with my newborn as first mate!)

Hoping for next year!
I have been building this Glenn-L 23 Biscayne for a little more than four years now. I am hoping to finish her up this winter.May be at the show if I stop hanging out on the Island and I get back into the shop!

How She Started & How She Ended
A few more of my '48 Deluxe that started as a piece of driftwood and ended as a nice & shiny originally powered collection of wood I have a lengthy documentary of the restoration process that took me the better half of a year. Labor of love might be the biggest understatement but when done right, regular maintenance is almost nothing.

From ACBS:
“The show will continue as planned, this has always been a rain-or-shine event and we have been blessed with great weather for so many of our past shows, perhaps we were due for a less-than-perfect day. We will all be there and we look forward to seeing all who will be in attendance!” Unfortunately a family emergency will prevent us from being in the show this year. Hope everyone has a good time and stays dry! |

I'm sad I missed this event. Was busy house hunting.
Used to love going with my dad when I was my kid's age when it was at the Weirs. We used to take the 14 ft MFG boat over and park it in the back docks under the walk bridge. Hard to take the boat over the Wolfboro with the event going on there. Even if we still had the smaller boat, I am not sure it would fit under the bridge to dock in Back Bay this year. Any pics from anyone? |

What's an antique?
I drive a 1985 fiberglass Century Resorter. Never thought of it as an antique.
Does a boat have to be wooden to qualify? What is the age limit for being an antique boat? |
