Default Double post

How do you delete a double post? Didn't think the first one went through.

If you replied on an existing thread, view your extra post, select edit and select delete.

If you started a new thread, I think that only Don can delete the lead post in a thread.

The edit/delete function times out after a while (maybe 30 minutes?) so you have to do that soon after the errant post...

I did the edit>delete but both still showed after about 15-20 minutes. Seems to be fixed now. Guess it took a while longer.

You should always be able to delete or edit your own posts. There is no time limit set. I'm not sure why it didn't work for you.

I deleted the duplicate when I saw your post.

That is correct. You can't delete a post that starts a thread but you can edit it.
