Default Wine'ing Butcher

Stopped in on Saturday and asked them if it was true they are opening a store in Meredith, and the answer is YES.... they just opened a new store in Newburyport (MA) which will be managed by Gretchen's sister, and they hope to open in Meredith before year's end.

Default wow

Where in Meredith???? That's great news.

Wow...curious how one of last years hottest topics (wine'ing butcher, and their top notch quaility) escaped mention this year until late September.
Very interesting thread last summer. And entertaining at times.

Newburyport, so that's where they spent their summer. I didn't see Gretchen or Andy the entire summer.

And Nbpt is definitely a tourist area, lol -- I'm only 11 minutes from my house to where my grandparents lived on High Street there, about 16 minutes to downtown. I've definitely got to find out where the location is here, I'll be eating those tips year round!

Hi Bill, I just called the Gilford store to get information on the new one in Newburyport and spoke to Chris (don't know his position) and he said no, that's not them.......... I did, however, send an e-mail to them (Gretchen and Andy) and will update here when I get an answer from them as to whether they did or didn't.

I received a very prompt answer from Andrew today (thanks again, Andrew!), regarding both new locations. Here's the info, straight from the horse's mouth, so to speak! (Info in brackets is mine, the rest came from Andrew's info to me.)

NEWBURYPORT, MA: The new place is actually in Salisbury, MA, on Route 1A - a stone's throw [right over the Merrimack River] from Newburyport. It is, indeed, owned by Gretchen's sister and her husband, Heidi and Joe. The name is Bucciarelli’s Butcher Shop and Deli. Andrew said they have "a lot of the same products as the Gilford store and more with a full kitchen providing gourmet meals". [I forgot to ask the phone number -- just sent another mail requesting it.]

MEREDITH: This is a direct quote from Andrew. "We are going to be opening our store in Meredith hopefully by November which will have a full kitchen and brick oven to make gourmet meals, brick oven pizzas and artisan breads to name just a few new items. A lot of the items made in Meredith will be sold in Gilford as well."

And yes, Andrew and Gretchen weren't in Gilford this summer as they were busy helping Heidi and Joe open, and getting Meredith ready! Best wishes to all four, and happy eating to all of us!

(PS - Bill - you talked to my brother???????????? Lucky you, he and I are playing tag as usual . Please PM me, let me know what he's up to, lol)
