Sandwich Creamery Question?
Sorry to be so vague about this, but I remember people mentioning the Sandwich Creamery last summer.
Can you really go at any time of night and get ice cream on the honor system? I meant to go last summer but I was so busy all day, every day that I was exhausted and asleep by midnight every night. Plus, staying in Wolfeboro didn't help, with Bailey's right down the street. I got my ice cream fix there almost daily. But I think the Creamery would be a cool place to visit after hours. Thanks in advance!

Sandwich is a big town, can you be a little more specific ? I am up for a ride right now. I love ice cream !
Never mind. I just looked at their website and after seeing their little map of directions, I know exactly where they are. Now if you will all excuse me the dog and I are off for a evening cruise to enjoy a tasty treat. |

go for it
Depending on which way you come in, you'll pass under a covered bridge. Definately go after hours, late at night....its part of the adventure. Very dark dirt road. Go slow because the road does have some divets in it (not as big as the Center Harbor pothole). Good road to take the kids down late at night and tell them the story about how one time when you were a kid, that a big foot ran in front of your parents car on this very road......lol

Just a note, prices have changed by about $1 since that picture was taken.
Still, gather the spare change in your car and you should be all set! |

I went there once before with some co workers, and it was fun. It was late at night after we got done working. Is it open in the winter or just in the summer?

It was open this winter when I went and their Facebook page says they are.
I did just realize that they are now only open from 9am to 10pm...not really sure why, but they lock the door at night now. No more late night trips after work :/ |

I've noticed they've installed cameras over the last several years which is pretty sad that they have to, but if it helps prevent theft or dishonesty, then I see the need.
Twice now I've gone past 10 and the big wooden door has been locked (as well as with other people I know have gone as well). I think they might actually have a closing time now... |
