Hi All,
This is my first year owning new (to me) PWCs and I'm looking for recommendations for someone to winterize them. I've owned boats for many years and I'm familiar with the process for boats but obviously it's different for the PWCs. I'm looking for what's needed for proper winterization, approximate costs and with whom people have had good experiences. The PWCs are 2005 Sea Doo four stroke supercharged models. Thanks and Best Regards! Gusman |

I store my 2004 Sea Doo indoors, so I don't need to do the anti-freeze. But I change the oil, remove as much fuel as I can, add fuel stabilizer, fog the motor, and that's it. Feel free to PM me with questions.

Hi Gusman,
Here is what I do:
Some people will additionally "fog" the engine. I have found that it has not really been necessary (IMHO). |

I recently paid $190 for HK Powersports to winterize mine and do an oil change. I have a 2011 Yamaha 4-stroke.

I use HK powersports for my 1999 Tigershark with a Suzuki 2 stroke engine in it (engine is half the age of the machine) They fog it, stabilize the gas, and remove the battery for me for convenience because I trickle charge the battery over the winter ( on my 5th year with the same battery). Because of the size they only charge $89. Well Worth it for me because it is on them with a engine problem in the Spring (Except for plugs and electrical of course)

Fill with fuel, add Stabil
Get some RV Antifreeze, a funnel, and a short length of hose Connect the hose to the inlet, typically on the back, left side of the Seadoo Have someone start the Seadoo, and spray fogging oil into the air intake per instructions, while you pour antifreeze thru the funnel into the hose. Once you see pink fluid come out of the exhaust, shut down the motor Pull the spark plugs, and spray fogging oil into the cylinders Remove the battery and store it inside Cover the seadoo with a tarp or have schinkwrapped |

You cannot go wrong with HK. Great family business.
I have had 5 Yamaha jet skis and a Yamaha LS 2000 boat. All of them have been maintained by HK and I cannot say enough nice things about them. Fair prices and they care about your jet ski or boat like it was their own. |
