Default Termite Spraying?

Do you spray your wood houses for termites? If yes, can you suggest an exterminator who will come out to an island? Thank you!

Call JP pest services. I'm on an annual plan where they come out at scheduled times during the year. Well worth the $$$. Very reliable company to do business with.

I agree....I've been told several times that termites are not this far North. I was told this as recently as two weeks ago and that Concord is about as far North as they go. Is that not the case?

Eastern subterranean termites are prevalent throughout New Hampshire. I use JP Pest for this and carpenter ants, etc.
As someone once said... "Set it and forget it".

Our problem was carpenter ants.

Got the granules from hardware store. Spread around house maybe 3 times per year.

Also make sure there are no shrubs bushes and such near house.

But an exterminator may be your best bet.

I have an interesting one for you, several years ago I had to replace my above ground rubber pool liner (very large Kayak pool). Pool company said that termites had chewed through the liner. They showed me and I was amazed that they were right. Lots of tree roots from past removed trees running under the pool that attracted them.

I guess by law the exterminators cannot just treat around a pool, so I had to have them do my house so I could get my pool done too. They have been telling me that the mulch around my foundation has attracted the termites, so I guess it was worth the money. They used the in-ground traps around the house, pool and sheds and spray twice a year.

When I tell people with liner pools, they look at me like I have 3 heads...
