What's up with Wolfeboro post office?

We received a strange letter from the USPS saying that retail operations at the main Wolfeboro post office have been suspended due to "safety concerns".

Does anyone here have any idea what that's all about?

They are doing some construction behind the metal window garage door and the daily window operation is in the way.

Not sure how long the construction will last but do be sure to use the USPS Office in Wolfeboro Falls. Editorial: The service in the falls is far better as the clerks are very user friendly.

Just returned from the Wolfeboro Post Office.

The "Window"--hereafter to be referred to as the--"Retail Window." in apparent Post Office parlance.

I was informed by Post-Mistress Rached that "The Retail Window" which is used

"for retail sales"

...will be closed for construction (as previously noted just 3 minutes earlier).

(Agree with Wolfeboro Falls P.O. comment).

After the Carpenter Elementary ceiling fiasco…maybe that side of the street is a giant sinkhole?
